2023 Ford Canada x Toronto Maple Leaf’s Playoff Rallies Challenge: Live Painting Artist Pop-Up

Danielle was the featured artist for Markham, Ontario’s Toronto Maple Leaf Playoff Rally Challenge. The Playoff Rallies featured different pop-up events for families to enjoy. Danielle’s painting incorporated famous Toronto landmarks, as an ode to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the fanchise’s incredible history.

2023 Raps City Social by the MLSE Foundation

Danielle was one of three artists to paint live and participate in 2023’s Raps City Social in support of the MLSE Foundation. She had one hour to paint Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors (NBA). Her work (Raptors custom 1 of 2 Hand-Painted Iconic Championship Themed Basketball) was also featured in the silent auction.

2022 Zirkova Vodka x Unity Collection

Danielle designed 1 of 6 unique Zirkova Vodka, Unity bottles. Her design speaks to unity, resilience, humanity, bravery, strength, and the idea of a global citizen. Through the depiction of cranes and pysankas, or decorated Easter eggs, “For Ukraine”, symbolizes strength, determination, and enduring traditions.

Unity, as Zirkova founder Katherine Vellinga describes it, “is a loving expression, smooth and approachable, the spirit of Ukraine, made in Canada.” It’s a product inspired by “the bravery and resilience of all Ukrainians and by the unity and togetherness that we have seen around the world”. Through Unity, Zirkova Vodka also intends to give back, with a portion of proceeds from each sale supporting Ukraine and its people.

2022 Macedonia Diaspora 40 Under 40 Honoree

Danielle was awarded 2022’s Macedonian Diaspora’s 40 under 40. She was recognized for her talent,  accomplishments, pride and impact on her respective community, profession, and Macedonian heritage.

2021 Ford Canada x Toronto Maple Leaf’s Playoffs T-Shirt Design

To celebrate the 1st round of the Playoffs, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ford Canada partnered with Danielle to create a unique t-shirt design that celebrates their core values. Danielle communicated this by showing inclusivity, accessibility, and loyalty within one of the greatest sport franchises in the world. The design featured not only Toronto’s boroughs, but also different regions, towns, and streets within the Greater Toronto Area.

Aurora Cultural Centre in Aurora, Ontario

Danielle taught Children’s Art classes (ages 4-16) at the Centre between 2018-2021. Students discovered how they can relate to art through their own unique lens and express their personality through their creativity. Using a variety of tools and materials, students learned how to draw, paint, sculpt and more.

COVID-19 Relief Fund Project: Paint it Forward

 

Between 2020-2021, Danielle hosted free painting lessons on her Instagram Live @DanielleZafirovski. All proceeds from her final weekly paintings went towards the COVID-19 Relief Fund at Markham Stouffville Hospital in Markham, Ontario and other charitable organizations. Danielle raised just over $5,000.

Discover LA at Lisa Marie Bar/Restaurant in Toronto, Ontario

Danielle recreated the entire Lisa Marie Bar/Restaurant with Discover LA branding and Chalk Art.

Why the World Needs More Colour: Exploring the Role of Art in Modern Times (Gr. K-12): This workshop explored how art can be used to elevate critical-thinking skills, develop an innovative mindset and play a pivotal role in fostering an inclusive learning environment. In addition, this workshop investigated how art is perceived in the ever-changing modern world, and the role of the arts in educating our future. In addition to the workshop, Danielle was a LIVE installation artist at the 2017 Parent Symposium.
